IT IS TIME TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER MORE SUITABLE CONSOLE. THE REALITY FOR OUR SITUATION- IS IT'S TOO LARGE FOR OUR VENUE. YAMAHA HAS BEEN VERY GOOD AT SUPPORTING IT THUS FAR, AND ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH ANY REPAIRS IF NEEDED. Having said that, I’m sure a line is already forming to dispute that claim, but as the head audio engineer at the Cerritos Center (Cerritos, Calif.), as well as working as an independent mixer, I’ve been using the PM1D since its prototype days and have never. THE UNIT REMAINS PATCHED AS A VIRTUAL UNIT, BUT THE OUTPUTS STILL WORK FINE. The Yamaha PM1D is the most flexible, powerful and reliable large-format digital console for live production available today. UPON STARTUP- THE UNIT ESTABLISHES A NORMAL CONNECTION, BUT USUALLY SHORTLY THEREAFTER THE CONSOLE DISPLAYS A MESSAGE STATING THE OUTPUT RACK HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED. RECENTLY- THE DSP HAS HAD A PROBLEM COMMUNICATING WITH THE AO8 (ANALOG OUTPUT RACK). USED ONCE OR TWICE WEEKLY.ĬOMMENTS: THIS CONSOLE HAS WORKED GREAT FOR THE LARGE PART OF IT'S 10 YEAR INSTALLATION IN OUR CHURCH SETTING.
